Here’s some tips from the rest of us so you don’t feel like you’ve fallen into the alien world of job hunting.
Finances
You are expected to receive a P45 indicating your final wage and tax details (yes you have to pay those) to your new employer.
You will not be able to claim benefits for 6 months, so you better make that 85k per year and lobbying bribes you were getting last for a bit.
- Cut back on champagne breakfasts
- Sell one of your homes, now you can’t claim expenses on them.
- Have I got New for You probably won’t hire guest presenters anymore as most of you are delusional lunatics (you can blame Boris for that).
Holidays
Yes you can go on them, but you can’t claim expenses for it.
If you run out of money to support yourself
HOW?! we barely get to live on £50 a month to live on.
You will need to get yourself to the Jobcentre and sign on for emergency Universal Credit. Which means you will have to do 39 hours of jobsearch per week (good luck in an area with no jobs), and be sanctioned for it anyway until you receive no money, plus lots of abuse and unfair rules.
Sounds horrible? well you put it there, not us.
