About this Site

I built this site to have somewhere to put my thoughts and show off my writing, design and development skills. It’s original incarnation was WordPress, and while it helped on the design and writing, it lacked development progress on wordpress.com, so i moved to self hosted.

Eventually after trying so many plugins and ideas, I burnt myself out before I even thought up content to put up on there.

This site is made in 11ty, a javascript framework which i’m growing to like. I’m heavily in the development site of it so my site looks like crap, which is an indication of my design skills too!.

I’ll probably change the site around again, as I’m never happy with it.

History

• 2011: Started a version on WordPress.com and Blogger, both were new and not that great.
• 2018: started a self hosted version of WordPress to try out some tricks and custom coding.
• 2022: started with 11ty.
• 2024: Switched properly to 11ty to save money.
• 2025 onwards: still no good at anything.
